Samantha Armytage’s $10m option after shock TV exit
The collapse of Sam Armytage’s marriage because of tensions with her husband’s adult children hasn’t stopped the loved star having a back-up plan.
After over two decades as a Channel 7 star Sam Armytage has called it quits. She says she still has ‘gas in the tank’ and is excited about her next step.
But even if she just decides to put her feet up and enjoy life she will be very well served after putting this impressive property portfolio together.
All up the ex-Sunrise presenter probably owns over $10m in real estate.
SOUTHERN HIGHLANDS
In May, Armytage snapped up a renovation project in Moss Vale in NSW’s Southern Highlands, about 90 minutes south of Sydney.
The expansive 1922 sqm block, not far off the Argyle St retail strip, has a single-level home with three bedrooms and two bathrooms.
Armytage paid $1.3m for the 1960s home with a 1990s kitchen. It was the first time the property had changed hands since 1962.

It was marketed as “exuding timeless character with its timber cladding, perfectly nestled amid a lush mature garden — each room is filled with potential, offering the canvas for your personal touch and modern updates while retaining the home’s nostalgic allure”, when listed for recent online auction.
It is just a 12-minute drive to the Berrima farm Armytage used to share with estranged husband Richard Lavender. They married in late 2020 before separating some time between September and December of this year in a shock split family sources say was a result of tensions between Armytage and Lavender's two adult daughters.
Lavender bought his 40ha holding for $1,950,000 from Southern Highlands farmer Theo Onisforou in 2007.

It’s where the couple were married in December 2020.
However, The former Sunrise presenter Sam Armytage’s marriage to the horse breeding farmer Richard Lavender has, with the benefit of hindsight, come at a significant personal financial cost.
Her Burrawang weekender, Pear Tree Cottage, which she sold ahead of moving into Lavender’s farm at Berrima, was onsold at a price that stunned the Southern Highlands village.

RUSHCUTTERS BAY
Armytage purchased an investment property for $1.575m in Rushcutters Bay in Sydney’s east in August 2021.
The two-bedroom waterfront home is in the coveted Marina One complex.
HYAMS, SOUTH COAST
Armytage pulled from sale her NSW South Coast home in the hamlet of Hyams Beach just days before news of her split from Lavender became public.
Home to ‘the whitest sand in the world’, the property had been on the market for some time.
Armytage had maintained a $3.2m price guide for the three-bedroom, two-bathroom holiday rental offering which secures up to $1200 a night.
She renovated the property after buying for $1.765m in 2018.
“A beautifully styled waterfront property on the prime Cyrus Street strip,” the marketing for the home reads.

“When you step inside you will be pleasantly surprised by the look and feel of this property. It oozes relaxation, comfort and classic beach house style – true to the photos!
“The house has three bedrooms (including an ocean facing master bedroom), two bathrooms, a light filled kitchen, front deck, and large, double living areas.
“There is also potential to convert the large double lock up garage into a studio, games room, or sleep out, as the house has undercover, car port style parking already.
“Located within easy walking distance of either Chinamans or Hyams Beach, and is also across the road from a waterfront reserve.
“The house has lovely views of Jervis Bay that are enhanced by the elevated position of the house and a building line that is set well forwards on the block.
“The rear garden has a lovely and private outdoor entertaining area, as well as good sized lawn areas. The back yard is fully fenced.
“The property has an area of 658m2 and a low density residential zoning. Annual rates are $3,396.42.”
There is now speculation Armytage will utilise the home herself following the breakdown of her marriage.
NORTH BONDI
In July 2020, Armytage sold her North Bondi home well above price expectations for $3.15m.
The home hit the market just a few days after the announcement of Armytage’s engagement to partner Richard Lavender.
CoreLogic records show she paid $2.15 million in 2014.
