Olympic swimming great Grant Hackett and his wife Sharlene have put their five-bedroom, five-bathroom Brighton home at 11 Rothesay Ave up for sale with $7.95m to $8.4m price hopes.
The couple purchased the 1,040sq m property in 2018, transforming it into a family sanctuary with a strong emphasis on wellness, and security.
The home is located in a quiet cul-de-sac just 100 metres from the water, offering privacy and exclusivity in one of Melbourne’s most-prestigious beachside suburbs.

The Hacketts were involved in the home’s redesign, working together on every aspect, selecting premium fixtures and fittings.
Marshall White Bayside director Campbell Butterss said the home was one of the best at the moment in the high-end market.
“Grant and Sharlene don’t do anything by halves, and that’s reflected in this home,” Mr Butterss said.
“Every finish is of the highest standard, and the level of detail throughout is incredible.
“The quality here is up there with the best homes in Brighton.”
One of the home’s standout features is its lush back yard with hedging that makes it feel like a private retreat.
Mr Butterss said the mature trees, manicured lawns, and indoor-outdoor flow create an atmosphere of tranquillity for buyers.
“Grant and Sharlene often talk about how much they love spending time outside with their kids,” he said.
“On a sunny day, they lay down a picnic rug, relax in the back yard, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
“It’s that kind of space — secluded, full of light, and perfect for family time.”
From the fully equipped home gym to the resort-style outdoor spaces, the home has been designed to promote a sense of health and balance.
The master ensuite features Madagascar Laurian blue granite, which is said to be a source of positive energy.
The Marshall White Bayside director said security has also been a priority for the Hacketts, with a state-of-the-art facial recognition system offering top-tier protection.
“This home has one of the most advanced systems I’ve seen - safety and privacy is all there for the new oner,” Mr Butterss said.
“I’ve had several enquiries from a breadth of buyers already from local families, overseas buyers and time-poor business professionals looking for a low maintenance home who love that everything is done to the highest standard.
Hackett is widely regarded as one of Australia’s greatest Olympians, having dominated the 1500m freestyle event with back-to-back gold medals at the Sydney 2000 and Athens 2004 Olympics.
His career includes ten World Championship gold medals, cementing his status as one of the sport’s all-time greats.
Since retiring from swimming, Hackett transitioned into the corporate world and serves as the chief executive of financial services company Generation Life.
Expressions of interest for the home close Tuesday, March 18 at 12pm.
