HE has fought off terrorists in Die Hard, defended earth from evil in The Fifth Element and demolished an asteroid in Armageddon. Now Bruce Willis is embarking on another big feat, offloading his Beverly Hills mansion for a whopping $22 million.

The prolific actor is looking to make a substantial $13 million profit on the 11-bedroom home - he purchased the 1928 Spanish-style property in 2004 for $9 million, according to reports.

Willis seems to be looking to shake up his real estate properties, especially since parts of the US housing market are showing signs of recovering. The Red star also listed his Manhattan apartment for $11.65 million in February and it remains on the market.

His second wife, Emma Hemming, gave birth to their first child together last April, and they are reportedly decamping from this West Coast oasis in favour of a chic Central Park West condo they bought from U2 bassist Adam Clayton for $8 million earlier this year.

Marketing material for their newly listed digs say it sits on 4000 square metres of land in a prime section of lower Beverly Hills.

It includes all the swanky extras one would expect of a movie star: 11 bathrooms, a media room, music room, chef's kitchen, library, two staff bedrooms, private tennis court, a pool, courtyard, steam showers, and a cabana. In total, the home's interior stretches to a whopping 970 square metres, and that doesn't include the guesthouse, which has another four bedrooms.

Previous owners include Michael Jackson and Lucille Ball.
