An angry feud has broken out after dog faeces tossed from an apartment complex struck a man while he was walking on the path below.

Brisbane man Sonny Goodens on Monday unleashed on the person responsible in a Facebook post, describing them a “cretin” for “routinely throwing dog poo” from their balcony.

“Whomever is routinely throwing dog poo from their ‘Unison’ balcony to the footpath below on 12 Longland Street, Newstead,” Mr Goodens wrote.

“Your behaviour is absolutely appalling.

“I’ve seen it fall before, today. you got me.”

He threatened that if he found out who was responsible, he would “understandably” be returning the gesture.

“Use your designated area, or put your pet up for adoption, you cretin,” he wrote.

The tossing of animal waste over the balcony was described as “disgusting” by Civic Cabinet Chair for City Standards Kim Marx.

“These allegations are disgusting and Brisbane City Council is more than happy to work with the body corporate of this residential building to hold this person accountable and pursue them for littering,” she told Courier Mail.

“We all need to be responsible pet owners and do our part to keep our city clean, green and sustainable.”

The person behind the flying poo could be fined $287 in line with Brisbane City Council’s infringement for failing to pick up and dispose of animal droppings in public.
