Fresh from committing to another year with the GWS Giants, veteran player Callan Ward and his expectant wife, Ruby Keddie, have listed their North Bondi home.

Bought for $4.866m in 2022, it has a guide of $4.8m through Sydney Sotheby’s Double Bay agents James Ball and Edward Quince, who have the conjunctional listing with Ray White’s Dion Markovics.

The 1920s home on Midelton Ave, which was renovated fully in 2021, hasn’t been touched in the past three years.

It is being marketed as being “influenced by the renowned modernist school of architecture, with sweeping geometric curves, generous proportions and seamless integration of indoor and outdoor living spaces”.

Architect James Garvin designed the Midelton Ave home that has four bedrooms, three bathrooms and a rear entertaining deck with infra-red sauna and beach shower.

The home features hydronic heated floors, terrazzo and mosaic-tiled bathrooms, a plush pink kitchen and a striking steel stairway.

The couple are expecting their third boy next month.

Ward, 34, last month signed on for his 18th season in the AFL, but had been weighing up a move back to his native Melbourne, according to some reports. He has spent the past 14 years with GWS, having initially been with the Western Bulldogs.

Ward told AFL.com.au earlier this year that he had been contemplating retirement but that the arrival of coach Adam Kingsley ahead of the 2023 season reignited his love for the game.

Ward’s two-bedroom 1920s Bronte investment, which he bought for $1,606,000 in 2017, is also for sale at $1.775m through Raine & Horne Double Bay/Bondi Beach agent Mark Yeats.

It has 65sq m of internal living space and a 31sq m northeast-facing deck with valley and ocean views.
