Basketball star Ben Simmons is set to make his long-awaited debut for the Brooklyn Nets, and now he has home a short drive from the team’s stadium.

The Australian-born and British TV presenter Maya Jama called it quits last month — and Simmons hasn’t wasted time in moving on.

No, not a new fiancee, but into a new Brooklyn home — an apartment that Jama “was instrumental” in helping Simmons pick, sources tell The Post.

Specifically, the three-time NBA All-Star is in contract to purchase a sprawling residence asking around $13m (A$20m) in Brooklyn’s trendy Dumbo neighbourhood.

The home is a two-unit combo at the Olympia, a 33-story luxury tower.

The building is decked out with more than 3,530 sqm of indoor and outdoor amenities, including a regulation-size tennis court that has stunning views overlooking the Brooklyn Bridge.

That sweet amenity may also have been the reason that tennis star Naomi Osaka could soon be Simmons’ neighbour, after she took a tour of a property in the same building recently.

Simmons also reportedly loves tennis, but he’s still waiting for New Yorkers to show him some love.

When Simmons appeared on the big screen while attending tennis legend Serena Williams’ final game at the US Open early this month, fans booed him.

The former Philadelphia 76er took it in stride — having missed all of the 2021-22 season, first because of a holdout with the Sixers to try and force a trade, and then due to a back injury with the Nets.

Simmons’ two units — a front-facing five-bedroom and a three-bedroom combo — are perched on a high floor and total around 465 sqm combined. There is also 30 sqm of outdoor space that boast city views.

Building amenities also include a hot tub, treatment rooms and a two-lane bowling alley.

In addition, there’s a gym with a juice bar, a spin studio, a maritime-themed children’s playroom and a game lounge.
