According to UK reports, the mansion in Hertfordshire, which includes a helipad and recording studio, is on the market for pound stg. 10 million ($14.72 million).
They are planning on buying a family home in Kensington or Mayfair, according to London's Daily Mail.
David, 37, and his wife, Victoria, 38, bought the country house following their marriage in 1999 for pound stg. 2.5 million and since then have expanded it, adding swimming pools, a gym, tennis courts and games room.
The sources say the family has insisted it is sold to a private buyer to ensure it is not developed into luxury apartments.
The family celebrated Easter at their Beverly Hills mansion at the weekend along with sons, Brooklyn, 13, Romeo, 10, Cruz, 7, and Harper, who is almost two.
