A NSW man said he thought he was “dreaming” after finding out he was $15m after scoring a winning entry in the jackpot Powerball draw.

Now planning to retire after years of working hard, the Clarence Valley man discovered he was one of the two winning entries in the 1439 draw.

The lucky numbers that secured the life-changing win were 2, 6, 22, 4, 30, 18 and 8.

The man told The Lott officials to “reach through the phone” to wake him up after finding out he’d won on Friday morning.

“Oh man! If you could reach through the phone and punch me so I know I’m not dreaming, that would be great,” he said.

Along with the major division one win, his entry into the online PowerHit QuickPick secured him further division two winnings, with the total amount sitting at a whopping $15,418,148.20.

“Mate, I’m going to retire. I’ve been working hard, and I want to spend more time with the family,” he said.

“This is going to set my family up for the future.”

The other half of the total $30m winnings went to a syndicate of four people in Berwick, who will pocket about $3.7m each.

The group expressed how the shock win had left them speechless, with one winner adding her heart was racing upon discovering the result this morning.

“Oh, my heart is going a thousand miles an hour, don’t give me a heart attack! I’m too young for that,” the Berwick woman said.

“Oh my god, I don’t believe it, you don’t know how life-changing this is.”

She said the winnings would be going towards a new family home for herself and her children.
