Mystery millionaire: The hunt for NT’s latest big lotto winner

A WINNING Lotto ticket was bought but there’s a fair chance they don’t know about it. Whoever is carrying it around is a cool $2 million richer.

THERE’S a new millionaire in the Northern Territory, but there’s a fair chance they don’t know about it yet.

For the second time in less than a fortnight, a major lotto prize has been won in the Northern Territory.

But the latest winner, who landed a cool $2,013,144.80 Division 1 prize in Saturday’s Tattslotto draw, hasn’t been found yet.

Because the ticket isn’t registered to a Tatts Card, all officials know is that it was bought at Katherine Exposure Photographics. After that, the trail goes cold.

But the newsagent is braced for a rush of people checking their tickets after Tattslotto began its hunt for the mystery millionaire.

The winning lotto numbers were 34, 28, 22, 42, 45 and 10. The supplementary numbers were 11 and 3.

Tatts spokesman Matt Hart urged all who bought a ticket in the draw in Katherine to check their ticket, and contact Tatts on 131 868 if they are the lucky winner.

He said the venue where the ticket had been bought seemed equally lucky: It’s the second time in less than 12 months a Tattslotto division one winning entry has been purchased at Katherine Exposure Photographics.

In June last year, a Katherine battler won $1.4 million from an entry they bought at the outlet.

“You may not think it’s possible that you could be the Division 1 winner, but if you purchased an entry in Saturday’s Tattslotto draw that you haven’t checked yet, you’re in with a chance,” he said.

The six winning numbers in Tattslotto draw 3839 on Saturday 5 May 2018 were 34, 28, 22, 42, 45 and 10. The supplementary numbers were 11 and 3.

It’s the second time in less than a fortnight a Tattslotto division one winning entry has come from the Northern Territory. A southeast Arnhem Land won $810,693.74 in the preceding Saturday’s Tattslotto draw.
