Mystery millionaire: Hunt is on for winner of $2.5m Saturday Lotto draw
The lucky ticket was purchased in a newsagency at The Entrance on New South Wales Central Coast, with the winner of the $2.5m prize yet to claim their winnings.
A desperate search has been launched for Australia’s newest millionaire as the winner of
the $2.5m Saturday Lotto remains a mystery.
Ther ticket was purchased at The Entrance Newsagency on the Central Coast.
However, the lottery player does not have their ticket registered to a player card or online account, so lottery officials are currently unable to get in contact with them.
“Our elusive winner is likely oblivious to the fact they became a multi-millionaire in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw,” The Lott spokesman Matt Hart said.
“Make sure you check your tickets, and if you discover you are holding the winning ticket contact The Lott on 131 868 to begin the prize claim process.”
The owner of The Entrance Newsagency, Blake Gagljak, said the exciting news was spreading through the town.
“Firstly, would love to congratulate the winner and hope they have a prosperous future,” he said.
“Secondly, as our family is extremely competitive, we would love to know if it was me, mum or dad that sold the winning ticket!”
The mystery ticketholder has one of two winning entries for division one, with each prize worth $2,519,100.97 in total. The punter holding the other winning entry is located in Western Australia.
The winning numbers in Saturday’s Lotto draw 4521 on 16 November 2024 were 6, 5, 8, 44, 29 and 38, while the supplementary numbers were 1 and 9.
