As Australians try their luck in the second biggest lottery offer in the nation’s history, the hottest and coldest numbers have been revealed by organisers.
The secret lottery-winning numbers that have netted Australians huge cash prizes have been revealed ahead of the mammoth Powerball jackpot being drawn.
Thursday will see the numbers drawn on the second biggest lottery prize in Australian history, with a $150m Powerball jackpot up for grabs.
The prize is only surpassed by the $160m Powerball in 2022 that was shared between three winners.
For those looking to pick their own numbers in the hopes of increasing their chances, The Lott has revealed the luckiest picks.
The most frequently drawn winning numbers from the main barrel are 17, 7, 11, 2, 3 and 9, while the least frequently drawn are 33, 15, 34, 31, 26 and 1.
The most frequently drawn Powerball numbers are 19 and 2, while the least frequently drawn Powerball numbers are 14 and 16.
It’s important to remember that historic numbers aren’t more likely to give you a win, with each ball having an equal chance of being drawn on the night.
There’s a one in 134,490,400 chance of taking home the $150m on Thursday night.
Up to half of all Australian adults are expected to purchase a ticket to the upcoming game, The Lott spokesperson James Eddy said.
“This is the second largest jackpot offered by any Australian lotteries game in history which means we’re anticipating a rush online and within licensed retail outlets in the lead up to the draw,” he said.
