$20 million lottery prize set to jackpot again

Oz Lotto is set to jackpot from $20 million after tonight with no one picking all the winning numbers needed to score the whopping jackpot.

The numbers you needed this week were 3, 37, 32, 1, 22, 18, 38 and the supplementaries were 7 and 15.

In 2021, there were 18 division one winners who collectively took home more than $279 million in prize money.

Six of those winners were in Victoria, five in NSW, three in Western Australia, two in Queensland and one each in South Australia and the Northern Territory.

The last time somebody won a $20 million lottery prize was in July last year.

A Victorian player claimed the life-changing cash.

Back in July 2021, it took three weeks for lottery officials to track down the winning lottery player from Bendigo, Victoria.

A Golden Square family won the whopping amount after forgetting they had purchased a ticket.

Their ticket was not registered to a player card so lottery officials had no idea who they were beyond what store it had been purchased at.

“We were cleaning the house the other day when we came across some old tickets which we’d forgotten about,” the mother said.

“Some had been in there for so long, so I decided to take them all down to the newsagency to check them.

“I scanned them on the self-checker, and it said that I had to go to the counter. I thought there was just some problem with the ticket because it was oldish. But then I’d remembered there was a missing Oz Lotto winner from Golden Square, so I started to think maybe we had that winning ticket.

“I didn’t want to get my hopes up, so we checked again ourselves and that’s when we realised we were the winners.”

A Bendigo family scored the prize last year.

The Lott’s Ally Ramsamy said the huge jackpot gave Australians the opportunity to dream big in 2022.

“Imagine how your plans for 2022 could change if you took home a life-changing $20 million?” she said.
