The Project: Bluey producer Daley Pearson accidentally reveals bare feet on national television
Executive producer of hit kid’s show Bluey suffered the WFH bungle of our worst nightmares on The Project Wednesday night – accidentally exposing his bare feet on national television.
If you’ve mastered the WFH art of donning pyjama pants during video conferences, spare a thought for Daley Pearson, who accidentally exposed his bare feet on live television Wednesday night.
It’s a fear most of us have probably held over the past few weeks as we adjust to our new lives in lockdown, with stories of Zoom blunders emerging almost daily.

Speaking to The Project panel after winning an international Emmy for popular children’s show Bluey onWednesday night, executive producer Pearson ended the chat with a frenzied attempt to conceal his bare feet as the person holding the camera panned the lens down in what looked to be a cheeky prank.
If Daley was in on the prank, he’s certainly a talented actor.
Despite frantically shouting at the person holding the camera to “pan up”, and what looked like a near-attempt to clamber down from his chair, it was too late, and his feet made their live television debut.
The interview began with a slight technical hiccup after Pearson began talking without audio, prompting a back-and-forth between the hosts and producer.
“That applause belongs to a – oh, there you are! Yes, hello, can you hear me?,” Pearson began.
“This is how most Zoom meetings are going at the moment, "Sorry, are you there, OK, yep!," Carrie joked.
“This is Zoom, wait a minute, you are breaking up! Are you there?,” Pearson hit back in response.
Ever since @OfficialBlueyTV the Blue Heeler hit our screens in 2018, parents & kids all over Australia have fallen in love with the show.

Having won the international Emmy for best preschool program this week, Pearson went on to describe what it was like receiving a cyber-award, given the current social distancing measures employed around the world meaning the ceremony in France didn’t go ahead.
“Oh, it was a magical night. It was really the night where stars come out to shine their brightest, and we saw it through Zoom! So I used all my data, I've no data tomorrow! I've used all my Optus prepay, so that is it for the month! But it was worth it, it was a great experience,” he joked.
“All 50 people at the studio, Joe, the creator of Bluey, Charlie, we all sort of came in and spent about an hour on Zoom watching the ceremony and a big afterparty – we went to Facebook, we went to eBay!”

Going on to discuss the current pandemic, and the relief many parents are finding in whacking on back-to-back episodes of Bluey for kids cooped at home, Carrie described the show as a “Godsend”.
“Did you ever anticipate that your show would become a lifeline during a pandemic?,” Carrie had asked the show runner.
“It's really beautiful. I don't even have a joke for it,” Pearson began, leading to Carrie suggesting he pen a “lockdown episode” before ending the interview.
This is where things went awry.
“Thanks, Waleed! Thank you, guys, and thank you for all your support and just thanks to everyone who has,” he said, pausing as his camera lens dropped.
“Don't pan down! Pan up! Pan up! No!,” he called out in desperation as he cottoned on and his feet became visible, prompting laughter from the panel.
Earlier this week, Hamish Blake made light of the working from home situation many Aussies are facing, volunteering to gatecrash Zoom calls by request.
It’s an initiative the funnyman is calling “Zoom for One More?”, and it might just be the best thing to come out of social distancing.
On Monday night, Hamish posted a compilation of his best Zoom for One More moments thus far, including a teachers’ meeting and air force flight log meeting.
“What are we gonna do about year 5?,” he says to the unsuspecting teachers in the first snippet below.
Next, he dialled in to a team of pilots wearing a gold “flight jacket” and calling for a change of uniform.
And finally, in footage from a meeting bomb to fashion retailer The Iconic, he kicks off by saying, as “finance director”: “We have enough money in the budget to send every customer a $250 voucher.”
The Project airs Sunday – Friday from 7.30 on Ten.
