The Crown: New photos surface of Emma Corrin as Princess Diana
New photos have emerged from the set of The Crown season 4, showing the actors playing Diana and Charles recreating their 1983 Aussie tour.
New photos have emerged from the set of The Crown showing Princess Diana during an iconic moment on the 1983 royal tour to Australia.
In the new scenes for season 4, currently shooting in Spain, Emma Corrin — playing the Princess of Wales — sported a pink polka dot dress and belt paired with a matching pink fascinator.
Meanwhile, her co-star Josh O’Connor was the mirror image of Prince Charles in a light grey suit.
Fans of The Crown were given their first look at Corrin as Diana last week when she was spotted with O’Connor in a recreation of their trip to Uluru.
The Charles and Diana storyline will take place in season 4 of The Crown.
We’re in for a long wait — season 3 won’t even premiere until next month, almost two years after the previous season dropped.
It’s the role of a lifetime for Corrin, 23, who was a complete unknown when she landed the job straight out of university.
In a statement released by Netflix earlier this year, the actress admitted being cast as the royal icon was “surreal”.
“I have been glued to the show and to think I’m now joining this incredibly talented acting family is surreal,” she said.
“Princess Diana was an icon and her effect on the world remains profound and inspiring. To explore her through Peter Morgan’s writing is the most exceptional opportunity and I will strive to do her justice.”
