‘We’re done talking’: Kevin Costner’s brutal response to Yellowstone question
“We’re done talking”: Seems like Yellowstone is very much in Kevin Costner’s past after the star’s fiery exit from the show.
Kevin Costner doesn’t have much to say about the ending to Yellowstone — or his relationship with his former co-star Luke Grimes.
Costner, who announced his exit from Taylor Sheridan‘s hit Western series ahead of its final instalment, claimed that he was “not thinking about” the show’s finale in a video shared by The Daily Mail.
“I don’t think I’ve given it any thoughts, we’ll just let it go,” he added.
As for whether or not he has spoken to Grimes — who recently told Esquire that “there was a part of Kevin being gone that meant some of the conflict was gone” — Costner dismissed the inquiry and replied, “We’re done talking.”
Grimes, who plays Kayce Dutton on the hit show, had caused a stir after deeming this season “the easiest” they had ever filmed, though he insisted that he was “not pointing any fingers.”
While Costner had fairly little to say about Yellowstone in The Daily Mail footage, Quentin Tarantino recently shared quite a few thoughts about the show, admitting to Joe Rogan that he enjoyed watching but found the series to be “just a soap opera.”

“They’ve introduced you to a bunch of characters, you actually kind of know all their backstories, you know everybody’s connection with everybody else, and then everything is just the compellingness of the soap opera,” he explained on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast while arguing that film is more memorable than TV.
Although the finale may have already aired, Yellowstone series stars Cole Hauser and Kelly Reilly will reportedly be continuing their stories as Rip Wheeler and Beth Dutton in a Yellowstone spin-off series.
