Selling Sunset Season 8 reunion axed after star Chrishell Stause threatened to quit show
A reunion special for one of Netflix’s biggest shows has reportedly been axed as some of the cast fume over a “disgusting lie”.
The Selling Sunset Season 8 reunion is no longer happening because the cast is feuding.
After Chrishell Stause and her castmate Chelsea Lazkani called out producers ahead of the season’s premiere on Friday, Netflix revealed there are no plans to film a reunion special, Variety reports.
Reps for Netflix declined to comment.
Earlier this month, Stause took to her Instagram Stories and threatened to exit the show once she watched the new season and saw co-star Nicole Young spread a “disgusting lie” about Stause's’s “bestie” Emma Hernan having an affair with a married man.
“Are we really still giving airtime to LIARS that just want airtime,” Stause said on social media. “I will NEVER work on a show with her on it again. I would rather be sued.”
“Disclaimer when you watch: just know she spews a disgusting lie about a bestie that is categorically FALSE and SUPER damaging. It is NOT TRUE.”

Stause also tagged Done and Done Productions, which produces the series, writing, “You are disgusting for blindsiding her with this to see with the world instead of letting her at LEAST defend herself with the TRUTH.”
Lazkani, who had her own drama with co-star Bre Tiesi this season, also echoed Stause’s words on her Instagram Stories, calling out Young as a “diabolical piece of [poo emoji].”
“You wanna start a rumour about Emma because all the rumours about you are true. OK, let’s see how this works out for you,” she said.
In response to her castmates calling her out, Young reportedly said she “confidently stands for the sanctity of all marriages” as “a married woman” via her Instagram Stories.
“Instead of attacking me and accusing me of lying, I think you ladies need to ask your bestie some tough questions. …,” she added.
“Even still, I stated this info as a rumour.”
Selling Sunset fans can kiss a Season 8 reunion goodbye, according to a new report that the annual special won’t happen because of cast feuding.
Since Season 5, the cast of the reality series has gathered for a joint sit-down with Queer Eye star Tan France. The special typically drops on Netflix within two weeks of the season premiere. This season, that won’t be happening.
