Chrishell Stause threatens to quit Netflix’s ‘Selling Sunset’ over ‘disgusting lie’ in new season
Chrishell Stause has threatened to quit Netflix’s smash hit Selling Sunset series over a “disgusting lie” set to air in the new season.
Chrishell Stause threatened to quit Selling Sunset after show producers allowed her co-star Nicole Young to spread an alleged lie in the forthcoming season of the Netflix series.
The US reality star, who is married to Australian musician G Flip, took to her Instagram Story to warn followers about what they will hear Young say about their castmate Emma Hernan when Season 8 premieres on September 6.
“Someone needs to take my phone,” Stause, 43, wrote alongside a series of mad face emojis, per a screenshot posted to X by Queens of Bravo.
“Are we really still giving air time to LIARS that just want air time,” she added.
“I will NEVER work on a show with her on it again. I would rather be sued,” Stause continued in another slide.
“Disclaimer when you watch: just know she spews a disgusting lie about a bestie that is categorically FALSE and SUPER damaging. It is NOT TRUE.”
The real estate agent also called out the show’s production company, questioning their “moral ground and integrity.”
Additionally, Lazkani alluded that their co-stars Bre Tiesi and Mary Bonnet were also complicit in Young’s alleged slander, writing, “You lie, placate, steal meanwhile your own [garbage bin emoji] has landed some of you in lawsuits.
“Spreading lies for views is so damaging. I’ve kept quiet until now, but this is not okay.”
Lazkani echoed her support for Hernan on Sunday with an Instagram post captioned, “Protecting HER at all costs #NicoleIsTRASH.”
“I love you. My sister for life, so grateful for you,” Hernan, 32, commented.
The Oppenheim Group agent then tagged show creator Adam DiVello’s company, Done and Done Productions, writing, “You are disgusting for blindsiding her with this to see with the world instead of letting her at LEAST defend herself with the TRUTH.”
Stause’s castmate Chelsea Lazkani also addressed the drama via her Instagram Story over the weekend, per Queens of Bravo.
“Good morning everyone, except for [Nicole Young],” she wrote. “[Nicole] you are the most diabolical piece of [garbage bin emoji] I’ve ever met.”
Lazkani, 31, continued, “You wanna start a rumor (sic) about Emma because all the rumors (sic) about you are true. OK, let’s see how this works out for you.”
According to the Daily Mail, Young claimed Hernan had an affair with a married man in the new episodes, which the agents recently had an opportunity to watch.
Amid the backlash from her co-stars, the outlet reported that Young doubled down on her Instagram Story, writing, “As a married woman, I strongly and confidently stand for the sanctity of all marriages.”
She added, “Instead of attacking me and accusing me of lying, I think you ladies need to ask your bestie some tough questions. … Even still, I stated this info as a rumor (sic).”
Reps for DiVello’s production company did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
Tensions between Young, 38, and her castmates have been rising after she labeled Hernan a “social climber” and claimed Stause used her past romance with boss Jason Oppenheim to get listings.
Stause also accused Young of taking drugs during a group trip to Palm Springs, California, last year.
Young denied the accusations, with an insider telling Page Six she was receiving death threats and being called a “meth addict.”
