Kylie Minogue reveals guilty Aussie TV pleasure: ‘It’s a good one’
The Aussie singer appears on Paris Hilton’s podcast, in which she reveals her “favourite comfort TV show”.
Kylie Minogue has revealed her guilty TV pleasure is watching the hit reality program Gogglebox.
During a recent appearance on Paris Hilton’s podcast I Am Paris earlier this month, the Aussie singer was asked by the host what her “favourite comfort TV show” was, and Minogue said it was the much-loved Foxtel series.
“I really like Gogglebox, which is a British show,” she said. When Hilton tried to pronounce the title, Minogue then spelled it out for her.
The Padam Padam singer then gave both the UK and Australian versions a good wrap.
“There’s British one and an Australian one, and it’s basically cameras in various people’s living rooms so there’d be no [host],” she explained. “And they are watching TV, so they are reacting to watching TV, which you think whose gonna watch that, I watch it and millions of people watch.”
“And you see yourself it kind of fractals in on yourself. You’re reacting to the Gogglebox [households] reacting to the TV. I think it’s a good one because you can catch up on TV through the week as well.”
Minogue’s confession on the podcast came ahead of the new season of Gogglebox Australia, which premieres this Wednesday, February 21 on Foxtel.
