‘Euphoria’ actress hasn’t paid her rent in 6 months amid season 3 delay: ‘Zendaya’s over in Paris’
One of the stars of Euphoria has revealed she hasn’t paid rent in six months, as she urged Zendaya to return for a third season.
She’s not feeling euphoric.
Euphoria actress Nika King said she hasn’t paid her rent in six months as production on Season 3 of the HBO show continues to be delayed.
King — who plays Leslie Bennett, mum of teenage drug addict Rue Bennett (Zendaya) — shared a clip on Instagram Monday from a recent stand-up comedy set, during which she talked about the future of the drama series.
“Season 3 is coming out … I don’t f**king know,” she said. “Don’t ask me. I don’t know. It’s one of those things.”
The 65 actress continued, “People are like, ‘We need Season 3.’ I’m like, ‘B**ch, I need Season 3, too!’ I haven’t paid my rent in six months, and Zendaya’s over in Paris at Fashion Week. I’m like, ‘B**ch, come home! I need you. Mama need you.’”
King then told the audience that despite their laughter, she was “serious” about everything she said during her set.
“I haven’t booked nothing since Euphoria. This is some bulls**t,” she added. “I thought my career was on the rise after ‘Euphoria.’ I thought I was good. It don’t work that way.”
Fans have been itching for a new instalment of Euphoria since the Season 2 finale aired in February 2022.

The show, which also stars Sydney Sweeney, Hunter Schafer, Alexa Demie, Jacob Elordi, Storm Reid and Maude Apatow, has been postponed for several reasons.
Aside from production delays due to the SAG-AFTRA strike, Angus Cloud, who played drug dealer Fezco, died at the age of 25 last July from an accidental overdose of fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine and other drugs.
In addition, Euphoria creator Sam Levinson was accused of ramping up the sexual content in his other HBO drama, The Idol, and twisting it into a “rape fantasy.”
Several of the show’s stars have been booked and busy with other roles as well.
Elordi, 26, was the lead in Saltburn and Priscilla, both of which were released last year, while Sweeney, also 26, starred in Anyone But You and Madame Web.
Meanwhile, Zendaya, 27, has been slaying the red carpet while promoting her new film, Dune 2, which has had the biggest opening weekend of 2024 so far.
