‘S**t’: Shock moment MAFS producer is forced to intervene mid-fight
Married At First Sight star Morena has revealed a producer was forced to step in mid-filming after Tony made a horrifying remark.
Married At First Sight star Morena has revealed that a producer was forced to step in and demand an apology after groom Tony insulted her.
One part of the show’s token elderly couple, divorced mother-of-two Morena, 57, saw her marriage to Tony, 53, implode after the pair argued about communication during one of the latest episodes.
Now, in a new interview on LiSTNR podcast ,It’s A Lot with host Abbie Chatfield, Morena has exposed the extent of Tony’s shocking behaviour in front of producers.
One moment saw a producer pause filming to force Tony to apologise to his bride after he commented her appearance.
“I said, ‘Tony, I need you to take a photo of me.’ And he said, ‘you got the look of a S L U T’, and I said, ‘I beg your pardon?’”
“He then took my photo. A producer was there. She made him apologise to me.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Morena claimed that Tony told her that he had “ordered” a 40-year-old and was left frustrated when he learned her real age.
“He told me the night before when we left the wedding, he said, I ordered a 40-year-old. I saw that you were leaked in the papers. I thought you were 40. And I said, everything in that article is correct, but I’m not 40. And he’s like, well, I didn’t order you. I ordered a 40 year old.”
Meanwhile, Morena issued somewhat of an explainer for her portrayal on the series during the radio rounds on Tuesday, claiming producers weren’t airing a key event that unfolded during their time filming.
The DJ told The Fox’s Fifi, Fev & Nick that Tony informed her he was still married to his ex-wife, causing tension for the couple on their honeymoon.
“Tony’s not interested in me, and I accept that. Going on Married At First Sight was like going on a bad date, the only difference is it was on-air. The problem that I have is … why are you hiding my story?” she said.
“Being separated and dating is completely acceptable, but I don’t think it’s right that you go on a show to get married when you’re legally married.”
Further, Morena alleged Tony was “still in love with his spouse.”
“They’re [producers] not going to reveal it … they told me, ‘Stop talking, we are not going to air that he’s married’,” Morena said.
