Vivica A. Fox says Ivanka Trump made racial insult on the set of The Apprentice
A US actress says Ivanka Trump insulted her when she appeared on The Celebrity Apprentice, making comments about her ability to speak well.
Actor Vivica A. Fox has claimed Ivanka Trump made a racial insult against her when she appeared on The Celebrity Apprentice in 2015.
Fox said Ivanka made comments about how she spoke “well”, and said she thinks the daughter of the former president likely thought it was a compliment.
Fox appeared on The Celebrity Apprentice in 2015 and spoke about the incident in an episode of For Real: The Story of Reality TV, hosted by Andy Cohen.
Cohen asked, “There have been racial controversies that have emerged on reality shows over the years. Are there things that have come up for you? Pains over the years?”
“I will never forget that when I did Celebrity Apprentice, and Ivanka Trump she said, ‘Wow you speak very well’,” Fox replied.

“You know Andy, I hate to say it, I don’t think she knew at the time she was insulting us. I think at the time she thought she was complimenting us.
“That it was like, ‘Oh wow! You guys are intelligent’.”
Cohen said he was surprised the clip made it to air without anybody noticing it could be perceived as being offensive.
“Think of the layers and layers of white people that saw a cut of that show and aired it and they said, ‘Oh, this is great’,” he said.
Fox said after the show went to air, “Twitter went crazy, like, ‘What does she mean?’”
Fox is a well-known American actor, who stars in drama series Empire.
She played Vernita Green in Quentin Tarantino’s two-part Kill Bill films, and also played Jasmine in Independence Day.
In April, Ivanka shared a photo of herself getting a COVID-19 vaccination. But the former White House adviser was quickly targeted by QAnon conspiracy theorists, who accused her of photoshopping the snap and claiming she never had the jab.
Just days earlier, a report had labelled one of Ivanka’s initiatives during her father’s presidency a failure.
The Women’s Entrepreneurship and Economic Empowerment Act, pushed through Congress in 2018 by Ivanka, was found in a review to be hampered by poor oversight and deeply flawed.
