The moment Kendall Jenner didn’t want aired on TV

WE’VE seen a lot of Kendall Jenner. But there’s one moment she didn’t want shown on Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
In April, the 21-year-old came under fire for appearing in a controversial Pepsi advertising campaign. In the commercial, Jenner is seen abandoning her modelling assignment to join a passing protest — then sharing a Pepsi with one of the policemen the protesters are railing against and creating world peace.
The backlash was swift and immediate, with many on social media labelling the ad tone-deaf.
While Kendall remained silent on the backlash, her distress behind the scenes as it unfolded was captured by cameras on Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
But, as revealed in a candid feature in The Hollywood Reporter, her big sister Kim Kardashian said Jenner did not let the footage go to air.
“We’re not perfect, but you see these things in the media, like Kendall and [her Pepsi ad that was accused of trivialising Black Lives Matter], where I see her at home crying,” Kim said. “But in the media she looks another way because she’s not addressing it. I’m just like, ‘This is wrong. You need to speak up.’ She was like, ‘I don’t ever want to show that footage of me crying.’ She was trying to not make excuses or be dramatic, but that was what she was going through at the time.”
Kendall added in the magazine interview: “I’m the most private one. If there’s a moment I don’t want anyone to hear, I talk to myself or talk to someone in another room.”
