The latest celebrity contestant has been revealed on The Masked Singer - and it’s a household name for most sport fans. WARNING: Spoilers.

The latest celebrity contestant on The Masked Singer was revealed during Monday night’s episode, with the pinata revealed as rugby league legend Lote Tuqiri after an energetic performance of LMFAO’s Party Rock Anthem.

The judges’ guesses were way off - seconds before Tuqiri was unmasked, they’d guessed it Sam Neill, Elon Musk, Beau Ryan and Jamie Dornan.

The pinata is Lote Tuqiri.

“I‘ve dominated a different arena, haven’t I?” he said after his unmasking. “So I’m happy with that.”

But he admitted his unveiling would probably confuse his children: “Little Maxi, he‘ll be like, “What the hell is going on?” So, Max, my little five-year-old, here we are, dude!”

The previous night, Australian singer-songwriter Ben Lee was unmasked during Sunday night’s episode of the show.

This season of The Masked Singer started with a bang, with British film star Vinnie Jones providing a genuine surprise to viewers when he was the first celeb revealed during last week’s premiere.

Jones was all smiles on screen – but gave a less enthusiastic appraisal of the show during an interview with Kyle and Jackie O the next day, telling them he signed up for the “big cheque” and that he found the top-secret filming procedures annoying.

“You know what, as soon as the cheque clears, then the big stick comes out and they start whacking you on the arse with it. They started bossing me around,” he said of his behind-the-scenes experience.

“I wanted to give a few of them a little slap, but every time I wanted to do that, they put a cape over my head and I couldn’t see anyone.”

Former MasterChef judge George Calombaris was the second celeb revealed this season.
