The Block’s Suzi Taylor is leaving the Gold Coast behind to start a new life

AFTER a year of seemingly unending controversy from Block star Suzi Taylor, Nine is reportedly threatening to strip her of her prizemoney.

AFTER stripping off in front of cameras while on a boozy outing and having a very public breakdown during a reality television series, the Gold Coast’s Suzi Taylor is packing her bags to start a new life.

The news comes after The Courier-Mail reported Channel 9 is threatening to strip The Block contestant of her $174,500 prizemoney after claims she has breached her contract with the network.

A spokesman for Channel 9 confirmed they had spoken to Taylor about breaching her contract by undertaking a number of media interviews without the program’s consent.

The mother-of-three has been through a year of controversy after appearing on Channel 9’s hit show, The Block.

The 44-year-old got off to a rocky start when nude photos from her former days as a Penthouse Pet were leaked publicly even before The Block went to air.

She then collapsed on set, reportedly because of her over-the-top partying, did a stint in rehab and was photographed wearing nothing but a brief bikini bottom while on a boozy boat trip on Melbourne’s Oaks Day.

She was also romantically linked to The Today Show favourite Richard Wilkins last month after rumours, later denied by both of them, that they were dating.

Whispers began after Wilkin’s son Christian posted a photo on Twitter with Suzi, and the caption: “Suzi is off The Block and in the houseee!”

They were also photographed together at a Melbourne club and Derby Day.

Wilkins was quick to deny any romantic link, issuing a statement that said: “I am not romantically involved with Suzi from The Block”.

Channel 9 also jumped in, sending out its own statement which said: “Richard Wilkins and Suzi Taylor are not and have never been in a relationship.”

Yesterday Ms Taylor said Wilkins was a great friend and mentor.

“I don’t even want to think about that (dating claims) right now,” she said.

“We’re just friends.

“Everyone at Channel 9 meets each other and we’ve become good friends.

“He’s a great mentor and it’s nice to have people like that in your life.”

Ms Taylor said she was now off the booze and hoping for a calmer life, with her wild past a thing of history, as she chases a new career in radio or television in Brisbane.

“I’ve been spending a lot of time with family recovering and am ready to start powering for the new year,” Ms Taylor said.

“I’ve had a lot of time to myself – things have been rough.

“But, if anything, it’s taught me to get help and I’ve done that and I’m feeling better and optimistic about my future.

“It’s going to be a very busy new year for me.”
