The Block ‘Lambo Guy’ posts cheeky selfie with winners Omar and Oz

The Block’s ‘Lambo Guy’ has done little to dispel rumours surrounding Omar and Oz’s massive win with a cheeky social media post.

The Block finale results 2022.

The Block’s “Lambo Guy” whose bids helped bolster Omar and Oz to a record-breaking win has fanned the flames with a cheeky social media dig.

Multi-millionaire Adrian Portelli, who became engaged in a bidding war with Danny Wallis for Omar and Oz’s home on Sunday night’s finale, was accused of manipulating the results after he didn’t show up to the other auctions, leading to speculation he was planted to drive up bids.

Omar and Oz, who made a record $1.6 million profit on their Gisborne property, have repeatedly denied that Portelli was bluffing, while Portelli himself has threatened to show photos of his back account.

But a new selfie would suggest Portelli is lapping up his new-found attention, taking to Instagram with a celebratory selfie alongside the winners as the trio kicked back in a spa.

He wrote in the caption, “Too soon?”

Hundreds of people flooded the comments section of the post, with many pointing out that Tom and Sarah-Jane – who made just $20,000 on their home – could be seen on the TV in the background.

“Sneaky work boys, keep those denials coming,” one wrote. “Helping the boys win was clever. This post is just grubby,” another said.

“Tom and Sarah-Jane on the TV. Brutal,” another added.

Oz also wrote on the photo, seemingly addressing the negative comments: “It’s called NETWORKING!!!!!” While Omar simply wrote, “My guy.”

There was plenty of support for the boys too, with one fan pointing out, “People keep saying it’s a game but when the boys come to play they call it cheating.”

It comes after Portelli bursts onto screens as the bidder to watch, making a flashy arrival in a Lamborghini, greeting Omar and Oz with a hug and then bidding up to $5.5 million for the duo’s home.

However, he bailed after he was outbid by Wallis.

Last year’s contestant, Josh Packham, initially kicked off questions about Portelli’s involvement, saying there was a “massive question mark” over it.

“He bid 5.5m for that house and then walked away. He could’ve bought any of the other houses for 4.2. Massive question mark: Why?,” Packham said on Instagram.

But in an interview with 2DayFM’s Hughesy, Ed and Erin, Omar and Oz explained that while they seemed to have a friendly relationship with Portelli going into the auction, they were actually working hard behind the scenes to court multiple possible buyers.

“We only knew him from when he first visited our house … We met another beautiful family that we got very close to. They came to the house a few times; we took them to the basketball as well. Everyone who was a potential buyer, we really gave up our time for them,” Omar said.
