The Bachelor’s Alex Nation breaks silence on why she ended relationship with Richie Strahan

SHE caught fans by surprise when she ended her relationship with The Bachelor’s Richie Strahan and found love with a woman.

THE Bachelor’s Alex Nation has broken her silence on why she ended her relationship with Richie Strahan before finding love with girlfriend Maegan Luxa.

Nation, 26, who won Strahan’s heart during the 2016 series of The Bachelor, was asked by a fan on Instagram about why she decided to end the reality TV relationship earlier this year.

“Richie is a great person,” the mum-of-one replied.

“He’ll still get his ever after. We both hoped for things to work, but life just is.

“Sometimes things in life simply don’t work out for us. You cherish the nice memories and you move forward.”

The comments were published alongside a new photo Nation posted of herself with girlfriend Luxa.

“When it comes to love, my friends and family would tell you that my heart isn’t one to discriminate,” she captioned the black and white snap. “I very much fall for a person and the connection that I share with them. My heart is a wild thing, it craves extraordinary adventure. It’s impulsive, sometimes a little dysfunctional but it’s big and loud and I follow it to the nth degree. What a wonderful adventure it is with her.”

Rumours of Nation’s relationship with a woman were revealed in August by New Idea after months of mounting speculation she had split from Strahan.

Addressing the rumours on her 88.3 Southern FM radio show, Nation confirmed she had found love with Luxa, a 31-year-old Melbourne chef and landscaper and fellow Frankston Bombers WFL teammate.

“I think if you have a connection with someone you can’t — people can’t help who they connect with,” she said.
