Viewers make an early call that Timm will be the man to steal Angie’s heart
It’s only episode one, but viewers are sure they already know who will make it to this year’s Bachelorette finale.
Armed with a bunch of sunflowers and down-to-earth tradie charm, suitor Timm has secured himself an early favourite in the race for Angie Kent’s heart.
While personal trainer Carlin Sterritt is the bookies’ pick to win with odds of 1.33, followed by Glenn with 4.50 and Ciarran at 6.50 on Sportsbet ahead of the premiere, Twitter declared Timm Hanly the winner the moment he stepped out of the car.

After a flirty conversation during which the long-haired Melbourne hunk offered a shivering Angie his coat, the seemingly smitten Gogglebox star told the camera she “liked his vibe”: “Timm seems different. There’s definitely more to him than his Tarzan locks.”
As teased in the promos, Angie was initially blown away by the sunflowers he presented her, calling it a “sign from her nanny that she’s in the right place”.
“That was such an in-your-face sign from the universe, I kind of wanted to cry but I didn’t want to freak Timm out,” she said in a to-camera interview.
Timm seemed equally smitten, gushing that Angie was “unreal” immediately after their first chat.
“I’m just, like, gobsmacked. You know when you look in someone’s eyes if there’s a connection or not, and I think there definitely was. So, hopefully she feels the same.”

Alas, it was Carlin who scored the first 24-hour date, after serenading Angie at the first cocktail party.
Social media, however, took the telltale twinkling music on the red carpet as a sign as blinding as Timm’s sunflowers, sure he’ll make it to the finale:
