After venting all season about the type of man she wanted to take home Ali had a last-minute change of heart — and viewers weren’t happy.

The Bachelorette Final Episode 12 Recap: Third Time Lucky

After venting all season that she wanted a guy who was ready to commit, Ali Oetjen appears to have had a change of heart — and fans weren’t happy.

During Thursday night’s finale Oetjen dumped Todd King in favour of Taite Radley, a 28-year-old bank manager who repeatedly told her he wasn’t willing to commit to marriage or move to Adelaide to be with her.

“You’re one of the kindest people I’ve ever met. I’ve learned from my mistakes,” Oetjen tod King.

“I feel like we would have such a perfect life together. But something’s missing for me. I can’t explain what I’m feeling. The one thing I know now about love is it’s not just ticking off a checklist it’s about following my heart.”

Despite being visibly upset, King then hugged and comforted a sobbing Oejten, telling her she had made the right choice in Radley who was a “great guy”.

As 26-year-old King was left rejected — and still with the engagement ring he’d debated proposing with in his jacket — viewers took to Twitter to accuse Oetjen of making the wrong decision and giving him the ‘Matty J’ treatment.

In 2016, Matty Johnson was famously dumped by Georgia Love in favour of Lee Elliott, in a heartbreaking scene.

But it wasn’t all bad for Johnson, who became the 2017 Bachelor and found love with winner Laura Byrne.

Meanwhile Love and her final choice Lee are still going strong, with the couple moving in together this year.
