The Bachelorette: Becky and Pete have announced their split

Former The Bachelorette star Becky Miles has announced she’s expecting her first child.

The 31-year-old, who was infamously dumped by her winner Pete Mann just three days after filming the finale of the 2020 season, revealed the exciting news with her boyfriend, Newcastle-based DJ James Bevitron.

Miles uploaded an adorable photo on Instagram of the pair caressing her baby bump, writing: “Soooo excited to finally announce that 2022 is the year I grow a human! Yes – we’re having a lil babe. Coming into this world June 2022.”

The couple have been together for 18 months after meeting on dating app Hinge a few weeks after Miles appeared on the Channel 10 dating show.

Miles was forced to endure a devastating morning of press after The Bachelorette finale aired in November 2020, in which she chose Mann to receive her final rose.

But she revealed the next morning they had since parted ways, claiming Mann dumped her via FaceTime.

The pair spent three days together after filming the finale, before Mann returned home to Adelaide and Miles to Newcastle.

Becky told the Kyle and Jackie O Show at the time that this was when things “sunk in” for Pete.

“I was willing to move, I would have been open to moving, (but) he said it just became more real then, he just didn’t think there was a spark there,” she said.

“We had some time together, we had our three days together, that was really lovely.

“We left that time saying we were really going to miss each other, but said we were going to catch up over FaceTime.

“When he got home to Adelaide, about three days later we had a FaceTime and he said ‘Look I’m sorry I just can’t do it’.”

Meanwhile her sister Elly, who was also the Bachelorette during the season, parted ways with her winner Frazer Neate a few short weeks after it aired.

Taking to her Instagram stories, Elly confirmed their split in an emotional video.

“I just wanted to come on here and say a couple of things. I just wanted you to hear it from me. Frazer and I are no longer together,” she said.

“We broke up over the weekend. I think we just grew apart after the show. It was really really hard having the distance and the secrecy and I guess everything that comes along with having a new relationship in the media.”
