Nick’s surprise finale move
THE Honey Badger will be following in the same footsteps as Blake Garvey when the last episode airs — and it doesn’t look good for the contestants.
NICK Cummins will be out of the country on a work trip in Papua New Guinea when The Bachelor finale is expected to air.
Tourism company Australian Kokoda Tours is advertising a trek with the Honey Badger from October 1 to October 11. The Bachelor finale is due to air in early October.
The surprise scheduling decision, spotted by a fan forum site, would be in contrast with previous suitors who have been required to be in Melbourne and Sydney when the finale airs in order to give press interviews alongside the series winner.

The only previous instance a Bachelor suitor wasn’t available was season two’s Blake Garvey — who famously dumped winner Sam Frost for second runner-up Louise Pillidge.
The Honey Badger will be back in Australia by October 13 when he is due to make promotional appearances for his new book, The Honey Badger Guide To Life.
News of Nick’s trip overseas comes amid growing speculation about which contestant (if any) he choses.
Earlier this month, booted “mean girl” contestants Cat Henesy and Alisha Aitken-Radburn told news.com.au they had struggled to have proper conversations with Nick because he kept making wisecracks during one-on-one chats.
“I’m a big personality person but he just didn’t — the whole jokes thing I felt like I was trying to think about what they meant the whole time,” Cat said. “I found it really hard for us to banter back.”
— The Bachelor continues next Wednesday at 7.30pm on Network 10.
