Keira Maguire reveals why Jarrod Woodgate dumped her

FANS were shocked when the seemingly loved-up Bachelor couple called it quits. Now Keira Maguire has revealed the real reason Jarrod Woodgate dumped her.

KEIRA Maguire has opened up about being blindsided during her breakup with Jarrod Woodgate, revealing he “walked away from everything”.

The unlikely couple first met and fell in love on Bachelor In Paradise, which aired earlier this year, and it had seemed as though they were still going strong until news broke of their split on Monday.

In a new interview with Who magazine, Keira, 31, finally revealed how their romance had soured, admitting they’d gotten into many explosive arguments.

“It was Jarrod who broke up with me,” she said. “I really believed we’d live happily ever after. I was so ready for that and nothing else in my life really mattered.”

One of their main issues was the fact that 31-year-old Jarrod, who manages his family’s vineyard, would often criticise her choice of career.

“Jarrod didn’t like the fact I didn’t have a full-time job … because my job was doing endorsements and he’s about working hard in a nine-to-five job. I used to work in the corporate world, but he didn’t know me then, so he didn’t see that and it made me feel really down,” the former Bachelor star said.

Keira added that she’d even tried to help out on the farm to demonstrate her work ethic, but that it had led to more arguments, as he’d critique the way she’d do it, so she “really started to feel insecure”.

Despite their problems, she admitted she was still shocked when he decided to end their relationship.

“I never thought he would get up and leave me,” she said. “And that’s what he did. It got hard and he walked away from everything. I didn’t think he was that kind of person.”

Fans were left blindsided earlier this week when Keira took to Instagram to reveal that she and Jarrod had split up after eight months together.

She wrote: “It is with a very sad heart but I have to let you all know that Jarrod & I have split up … I’m sorry if anyone is disappointed or if I have let anyone down. Please respect our privacy as this is a very hard time for me.”

Bachelor In Paradise produced three couples at the end of the show, including Keira and Jarrod.

The first breakup was Ali Oetjen and Grant Kemp, who did not make it to the completion of the show’s airing. Just two days after Keira and Jarrod announced their split, Megan Marx and Jake Ellis also revealed they had broken up.
