‘It really really sucks’: Megan Marx posts cryptic response to kissing photos
Former reality star Megan Marx has weighed in on potentially staged photos of Bach contestants Vakoo and Rachael kissing.
Following the release of questionable photos of Bachelor contestants Vakoo and Rachael kissing this week, reality star Megan Marx has addressed her own experience with coming out in the public eye.
In an Instagram post shared yesterday that eludes to the potentially staged photos published by New Idea on Monday, the former Bachelor contestant hinted the rumoured relationship was indeed fake.
She went on to say that it “sucks” to see her sexuality made a joke of in mainstream media.

Megan, who briefly dated fellow 2016 Bachelor contestant Tiffany Scanlon, having met while both vying for the heart of Richie Strahan, identifies as bisexual.
While The Bachelor and Bachelor in Paradise star didn’t mention Vakoo or Rachael in her post yesterday, her timing has raised suspicion.
“When I’m asked whether I have any regrets about my time on reality TV — the answer is no, although there is a little personal discomfort when I think about how I dealt with my same-sex relationship in a seemingly pre-fluid-bachelor world,” the 30-year-old began.
“Although I felt proud to come out and I don’t want to take away from that, I was blowing media whistles, when I should have just relaxed into who I was and let the chips fall where they may.”
Referencing a book on the history of same-sex relationships in the media, Megan went on to explain that while it may appear she once used her sexuality for attention — citing her steamy 2016 Maxim cover with ex Tiffany — straight women falsely adopting the label to make headlines is insulting.
“As someone who has been courted many times by women that aren’t even into women, have lied about it, or are just there for a story, it really really sucks to see some make a joke out of what has taken generations for the government and media to take seriously,” she said.
“Please, everyone, be who your are. Be honest about who you are. It is the most freeing thing ever. Let the chips fall where they may,” she concluded.
Despite the very coincidental timing, when contacted by news.com.au, Marx insited the comments were not directed at anyone in particular.
Tiffany and Megan, who were named Maxim’s Couple Of The year in 2016, split in March 2017.
At the time, Tiffany claimed the overwhelming media attention they received when going public eventually led to their demise.
“We made the decision (mistake) at that point to share our relationship with the public mostly via our Instagram accounts. This, I believe, would eventually cost us our relationship,” the 32-year-old wrote on her blog.
She further explained she “lost her sense of self” while dealing with the constant scrutiny, and she felt “devastated” by the breakup that came as a result.
The newest contestant romance between 24-year-old model Vakoo and personal trainer Rachael, 23, comes amid rumours Rachael had no interest in this year’s Bachelor Matt Agnew and only had eyes for a producer.
Rachael, who was reportedly sent home this week, told TV Week “all the girls” would joke about choosing “one of the good-looking producers” as their “back-up plan”, seeing as only one would end up with Matt.
In photos released and owned by New Idea this week, Rachael and Vakoo are kissing and caressing each other’s faces at a restaurant and holding hands as they walk down the street.
The display comes after weeks of gushing over each other on Instagram having grown close during their time together in the mansion.
“Thankful we went on this crazy journey or I wouldn’t of met my soulmate. OmG bLeSsEd WiTh ThE bEsT xX (sic),” Rachael posted alongside an image of her and Vakoo earlier this month.
Both women are yet to address the relationship rumours.
