Bella Varelis has slammed The Bachelor for her edit

Bella Varelis was a frontrunner on The Bachelor. But her sweet demeanour changed halfway through – and she’s blaming the editing.

Bella Varelis was a frontrunner since day one on The Bachelor, however, her sweet demeanour suddenly changed when lockdown was over and they all returned to the show.

While the 25-year-old was “best friends” with Irena Srbinovska, 31, at the start of the show, they returned as enemies.

However, Bella is now slamming the network for her edit, months following the finale.

In a YouTube Q&A video, Bella revealed: “At the beginning of the season, I am a complete hopeless romantic. I love fairytales and I love Disney.

“Yes, they did show me getting angry, but I am a woman! I have more than one emotion. It was hard for me to watch back,” she said.

“I really struggled in the mansion at one point. Seeing a situation coming across on camera that was the furthest from the truth, really was hard to watch back.”

She insisted that she wasn’t the “villain” portrayed on our screens, and that “probably about five per cent of what was filmed has been used”.

“People kind of see the Bella that was shown on The Bachelor, and they think that is all I have to me, and they think that’s the person I am.

Bella has slammed the network for her edit.

“I have more depth to me than that, and unfortunately being on TV, people are very quick to make assumptions and jump to conclusions about you and think that they know you.

“I think at the end of the day, they could only show so much, and unfortunately what they did show wasn’t the whole story.”

When Bella and Irena returned to the show after lockdown, they had a huge blow-up at a cocktail party, with Bella calling Irena a “manipulative little b**ch,” claiming that she had exaggerated her relationship with Locky.

“I think she’s got a rose because they do have a really good connection. I think she’s very good at manipulating and making herself come across as a victim,” Bella said.

“It just sucks because both of my last relationships have been ruined because there was a girl that’s come in that’s manipulated it. And she’s doing exactly that,” she told the other contestants.

At the time, she was labelled a “hypocrite” by people on Twitter.

Bella was the runner-up on Locky Gilbert’s season.

“If anyone’s manipulating Locky now it’s you Bella,” one person wrote, with another adding: “You used to be my favourite!”

In the same Q&A, Bella told her fans that she is currently single, and would never take the Survivor star back given the opportunity.

“I’m actually really grateful Locky dumped me … and I’m just really excited for life,” she said.

“At the end of the day, I absolutely loved Locky and I really could see a future with him. Every relationship and every person that comes into your life is a lesson and Locky was just a big lesson for me.”

Bella, who is a marketing manager, clarified that she is definitely single.

“Guys suck. I want to focus on myself at the moment.”

Bella revealed during the video that she would have rejected Locky at the finale, claiming that she couldn’t date somebody who was in love with two people at once.

Leading up to the dramatic finale, Locky, 30, expressed that he was in love with both Irena Srbinovska and Bella.
