With exes reunited and bombshells dropped, here’s everything we know so far about this year’s season of Bachelor in Paradise.
WHEN WILL IT AIR?
Good news for Bachelor fans, because there isn’t long to wait — the new season of Bachelor in Paradise will premiere on Tuesday, April 9 on Channel 10.
WHO IS APPEARING ON BACHELOR IN PARADISE THIS YEAR?
The most exciting casting announcement of this year’s Bachelor in Paradise are exes Richie Strahan and Alex Nation are being forced to reunite.
The couple split acrimoniously just months after Richie picked Alex as the winner of The Bachelor in 2016.
Also appearing from Richie’s season is Rachael Gouvignon, who was dumped by him after hometown visits and had an unsuccessful stint on Bachelor in Paradise last year.
Most of Bachelor in Paradise’s other female contestants are from the Honey Badger’s season last year.
Brooke Blurton, Cass Wood, Shannon Banff, Vanessa Sunshine and intruder Brittney Weldon will be mixing it up in Fiji.
“Mean girls” Alisha Aitken-Radburn and Cat Henesy-Smith will also have a second shot of love after being dumped by Nick Cummins last year.
Making up the boys, representing Ali Oetjen’s season of The Bachelorette last year are Bill Goldsmith, Paddy Collier and Nathan Favro.
Also joining the cast are James Trethewie from Sophie Monk’s season of The Bachelorette and Alex Bordyukov from the US Bachelorette franchise.
WILL THERE BE DRAMA?
Judging by the previews released so far — YES.
In one clip it’s revealed Brooke will drop a bombshell about ex-flame Nick to her castmates — and judging by their reactions, it’s going to be juicy.
The 24-year-old brunette suddenly dumped Nick after making it to the final four and it seems she will reveal why she really left.
“I’ve protected him for so long,” Brooke can be seen cryptically telling other women from her Bachelor season.
“I don’t really want to have to protect Nick.”
Another teaser clip has promised to reveal the “grubby” details around Richie and Alex’s split, with the former Bachelor hinting at their “brutal” break up.
“I was obviously in a relationship with Alex and, well, the circumstances of that breakup were quite brutal,” Richie explains.
“I don’t know if Australia’s ready for the grubby details surrounding it.”
