Bach frontrunner’s cryptic response
SHE’S tipped to win the series but Brittany Hockley has given the biggest hint yet that she isn’t together with Nick Cummins.
SHE’S tipped to win The Bachelor’s finale next week.
But Brittany Hockley has given the biggest hint yet that she may no longer be with Nick Cummins.
Speaking to Who ahead of tonight’s home visits episode, Brittany was asked what she would hypothetically do if Nick dumped her … and ended up giving quite the detailed answer.
“At this stage, things are getting real and there are a lot of strong feelings there … This point comes and you start to see each other together and you realise this could be something really good,” she said.

“While I’d be really hurt, everything in life depends on how you react in certain situations. I’d be hurt, but you’ve got to get on with it … For me, personally, I’m not going to lock myself in my room and cry.”
Brittany’s interview comes amid increasing speculation that viewers won’t get their typical storybook ending next week.
In a surprise move, Nick won’t even be in Australia when the finale airs as he is scheduled to be on a Kokoda Trail trek in Papua New Guinea from October 1 to October 11.
Nick’s absence would be in contrast with previous suitors who have been required to be in Melbourne and Sydney when the finale airs in order to give press interviews alongside the series winner.
The only previous instance a Bachelor suitor wasn’t available after the finale was season two’s Blake Garvey — who famously dumped winner Sam Frost for second runner-up Louise Pillidge.
Earlier this month, Brittany’s sister Sheri posted a video to Instagram in which a woman (thought to be either Sheri or Brittany) and a man speculated about Nick’s intentions.

“Maybe he’s not ready to settle down,” a man’s voice could be heard saying to which a woman could be heard replying: “Maybe not.”
Daily Mail Australia has also published video of Nick out in Manly with a mystery woman, with an eyewitness telling the website the pair “didn’t kiss or cuddle, but their body language was close”.
The Bachelor continues tonight at 7.30pm on Channel 10.
