Tensions explode in ‘unforgivable’ fight at Block body corporate

A body corporate meeting devolved into an expletive-filled slanging match on Thursday’s episode of The Block, as simmering tensions exploded.

A body corporate meeting devolved into an expletive-filled slanging match on Thursday’s episode of The Block, as simmering tensions exploded.

House three contestants Kristy and Brett were there to plead their case, asking for permission to flip their front yard and backyard for judging, so they could present a pool to the judges in the final week.

Their request received a les-than-enthusiastic response from the rest of the contestants – and leading the charge was Ash, who’s clearly still smarting after he and wife Leah’s friendship with Kristy and Brett spectacularly imploded a couple of weeks back.

As Ash dug his heels in, Kristy spoke up.

Ash fires back.

“Ash, you’re being an absolute dick,” she told him. “Shut the f*k up.”

That prompted a weary response from Ash’s wife Leah, who shook her head and sighed: “You don’t say that …”

“Are you joking? Are you actually joking?” Kristy asked her former Block bestie. “[Ash] has come at me the whole f**king time! I haven’t said anything!”

“Exactly,” Ash shot back. “You don’t talk to us. You only talk to us when you want something.”

“WHO CARES? I DON’T HAVE TO F**KING TALK TO YOU! WHAT DO I WANT FROM YOU?” Kristy screamed.

Kristy kicks off.

As the body corporate ended – with Kristy and Brett losing the vote – they hung back with Ash to continue the argument.

Ash told Kristy he’d been frustrated by the weeks of stony silence from her, and would rather just have an argument so they could move on.

“Do you want to keep going how it’s going?” he asked her of the feud, which left her momentarily speechless.

“I’m not bothered by it,” she insisted.

Friends 4eva!

“This is me doing a last plea – do we do the last two weeks [of The Block] as friends?” he asked her.

After all that, Ash pulled the couple in for the world’s least convincing group hug in an attempt to “move it on.”

In a piece to camera, wife Leah admitted she wouldn’t have been quite so conciliatory, and said her husband was “wasting his breath”.

“I’ve been on the receiving end of her nastiness … she is unhinged. Completely unhinged,” she said.

She said the way Kristy had spoken to her husband during the body corporate was “unforgivable.”
