Sophie Monk on Have You Been Paying Attention?: ‘You guys are ar**holes’
THE Have You Been Paying Attention? panellists didn’t hold back when Sophie Monk and Stu Laundy made an appearance.
THE Have You Been Paying Attention panellists were merciless when Sophie Monk and Stu Laundy appeared on the show last night with The Bachelorette star calling them “ar**holes”.
The couple were guest quiz masters for a segment on the popular Channel 10 show and Sam Pang kicked things off by addressing the rumours that the couple were no longer together.
“Can I just say, sincerely, there’s a lot of cynical people out there but congratulations,” Pang told Monk and Laundy.
“Finding love is a very difficult thing to do and I wish you all the best. I just wanted to ask Stu, what does your wife think?”
Quiz master Jane Kennedy also touched on the split rumours and mentioned the recent video that Monk posted on Instagram showing a woman called Jan defending the couple’s relationship.
“You had a funny sort of stalkery lady who was really happy to see you the other day,” Kennedy said.
“She was lovely, we love a stalker,” Monk replied.
Without missing a beat, panellist Kitty Flanagan said, “well you probably missed Jarrod didn’t you, so it was nice to have a stalker to feel at home”.

The grilling continued as Ed Kavalee told Monk and Laundy he had an idea for a one-off TV special they could star in.
“Because you’ve had a snip, Stu, and Sophie, you keep saying that you would like children. I’m thinking, let’s make it a network event: The Reversal.
“We go live to a medical facility where Stu’s there on the trestle and if only Channel 10 had a medical professional who could perform the procedure ... The Bondi Vet!”
Monk and Laundy then took it in turns to ask the panellists a variety of quiz questions about The Bachelorette.
After a brief clip from one of Monk and Laundy’s dates at an aquarium [where they touched a dugong], Monk posed the question, “What was I touching there?”
Kitty Flanagan answered, “the most intelligent mammal you’d met since you went into the mansion”.
Laundy’s question for the panellists was, “Jarrod brought Sophie’s parents a gift. What was it?” And comedian Susie Youssef took great delight in poking fun at Jarrod, The Bachelorette runner up who viewers labelled a “stage five clinger”.
“It was the severed head of his last girlfriend,” she answered.

Another clip from the show that was played was from Monk’s awkward date with Apollo. After a long pause during the date, Apollo broke the silence by randomly offering Monk a bread stick.
When the clip finished, Sam Pang said to Monk, “Soph, is that when you knew that Apollo wasn’t the one?”
“Kinda, but I also love bread sticks,” she replied.
“What are you gonna do?” Ed Kavalee said, “do you go with the millionaire or the guy with the bread stick?”
In response to Kavalee’s sarcastic comment, Monk said, “God, you guys are ar**holes”.
Monk and Laundy’s hilarious appearance on the show was a hit with viewers who labelled it “the funniest #HYBPA segment” ever.
