SAS star Ali Oetjen slams Firass Dirani’s attitude on the show
SAS Australia contestant Ali Oetjen has slammed Firass Dirani for his attitude and behaviour on the show.
SAS Australia contestant Ali Oetjen has slammed Firass Dirani for his attitude and behaviour on the show.
It comes after the House Husbands actor said that his fellow contestants took the show too seriously.
“These guys were taking it so seriously like it meant the world to them … they forgot that it was a show,” he told Yahoo Lifestyle.

It hasn’t sat well with the former Bachelorette, who spoke to the same publication.
“I’m really surprised,” she said. “Those moments in the show when you’re surviving and you’re so terrified and it’s your life on the line, no exaggeration at all, and then you’ve got someone making a mockery of it and he has no remorse or empathy or apology it’s really hard to understand that individual,” she said. “I guess there’s a lot of emotions that occur with it.
“I felt annoyed and I couldn’t understand his mindset,” she said.
She also slammed the idea that she and her fellow celebrity recruits were taking it too seriously.
“That’s such a weird take on it,” she said. “The whole thing about the show was that it was not a game, it was life and death situations, yes we did have safety equipment and stuff like that but people did get severely hurt and in those moments I have never been so low.”

Oetjen isn’t the only contestant who has spoken out against the actor’s behaviour on the show.
Former Biggest Loser trainer Shannan Ponton called Dirani a “sociopath” recently.
Ponton’s comments came after he was involved in a heated clash with him on SAS Australia.
Dirani has angered his co-stars on the show by making smarta**e comments to the directing staff (DS) which on two occasions resulted in the whole group being punished as a result.
Speaking tonews.com.au, Ponton said about Dirani: “I honestly believe that he’s a sociopath in his behaviour.”
Ponton continued: “Time and time again, we said, ‘Listen mate, you’ve got to stop this behaviour.’ And he said, ‘What behaviour?’
“It was as infuriating as it was confusing. At no stage did he ever assume responsibility for his actions. At no stage did he say sorry.
“Some of the girls said to him, ‘Firass, all we want is an apology for what you did to us today,’ and it was never forthcoming. Even at the end, he never assumed responsibility for what he’d done. It was always some weird, inarticulate way to put together some story that didn’t make any sense.”

In response, Dirani hit back and called Ponton a “redneck”.
“I find it strange where this vile aggressive labelling behaviour is coming from?” Dirani told the Daily Mail. “I suspect there’s more prejudice against me than I imagined.”
He continued: “Feels like a redneck to me. Him and his followers. That’s called a line in the sand.
“What’s with his Maori tattoos?” Dirani said to the Daily Mail. “You’re embarrassing a whole culture. You are not worthy of such ancestral powerful artwork. You don’t even fall on the coat-tails of such warriors. You culture vulture.”
JESSICA ROWE DEFENDS FIRASS DIRANI
Jessica Rowe got to know Dirani on last year’s Channel 7 show, The Real Dirty Dancing.
Speaking to KIIS FM’s Kyle and Jackie O recently, she said: “I want to stand up for Firass. He is a gorgeous guy.”
Rowe did acknowledge, however, that Dirani likes to “muck up” on set.
“When we worked together I’d say, ‘Will you listen to what they’re saying? Don’t disappear!’” she said.
“He’s a jokester. Like, we’d be trying to film a shot and he’d grab someone’s handbag in the shot and it’s like, ‘We’re gonna have to do this all again (for continuity reasons). Why are you doing this?’”
Rowe told the radio duo that Dirani “has such a good heart” and wants the other SAS Australia recruits to “back off” him.
