SAS Australia: Candice Warner spills on feud with Roxy Jacenko

Candice Warner and Roxy Jacenko had a spectacular falling out after appearing on SAS Australia. But Candice wants to bury the hatchet.

Candice Warner has opened up about her falling out with Roxy Jacenko.

Before they joined SAS Australia, the two women were good mates and Roxy was Candice’s manager.

But that all changed when they were challenged to fight each other in a boxing match on the Channel 7 reality show.

Roxy was shocked that Candice went hard during the fight, with the PR queen later telling Kyle and Jackie O she would never try to hit Candice.

“Is she really my friend anymore? No,” Roxy said on radio. “You know why I never hit back? Because it’d be like being in a ring with Jackie. You’re my mate, and I’m not going to smack you in the face for other people’s entertainment,” she told the hosts.

“You wouldn’t continue punching when the person – me – turns their back and continue punching them in the back of the head. In boxing, that’s totally not allowed. The reality is, I can’t punch my then-friend in the face for people’s entertainment.”

“You look back and go, ‘F**k, I should have whacked her one,’ but you know what? I’m bigger than that and I’ve got respect for other people.”

Roxy revealed that Candice “sacked” her after SAS Australia was filmed.

“People will always let you down,” Roxy said. “I believe after what I did for Candice that it was a real smack in the face, pardon the pun.”

Candice fired back in an interview with Nova’s Fitzy and Wippa, disputing Roxy’s claim that she didn’t throw a punch during the fight.

“She tried to (fight) but she couldn’t land a punch. That’s the honest truth. Ask anyone,” Candice said.

Fight! Fight! Fight!

But it appears time has softened Candice’s attitude towards Roxy and on radio this morning she said she hopes to bury the hatchet with her former friend.

“It’s really sad and I’m so disappointed by the whole thing,” Candice told Kyle and Jackie O on KIIS FM today. “I’d never want to lose a friend over something like this and it’s very sad and I’m sorry that she feels this way.”

Candice said Roxy is “a good person” with “a great family”.

“There’s nothing wrong with Roxy,” she said.

When asked if she’d like to repair the friendship, Candice said: “Of course I do. From my end there’s no dramas whatsoever.”
