Rita Ora explodes at Keith Urban over blocking on The Voice
A controversial blocking on The Voice has Rita Ora raging at the coaches.
Rita Ora is not happy.
The final audition on Monday night’s episode of The Voice turned into quite the controversy among the coaches, when one coach was ‘blocked’.
23-year-old Chantel Cofie from Sydney had Guy Sebastian, Jessica Mauboy, Rita Ora and Keith Urban on their feet as she sang her original song 2020.
Inspired by the shocking death of George Floyd and the injustices black people face daily, Chantel’s audition was one of the best the judges have ever seen.

As Jess Mauboy sung her praises, begging for her to join her team, Rita looked like she was about to implode, shaking her head as she was the only coach blocked.
“I’m p***ed,” Rita stated. “In the words of Boy George last season, you’re dead to me,” she said, trying to figure out who blocked her.

“Whoa, they’re strong words,” said Guy. “Who did the block?” he asked.
“It was you wasn’t it?” Rita asked Keith, who began grinning. “You blocked me didn’t you?” she urged as he laughed.
“I knew it! You blocked me!” Rita yelled, unable to stay mad at Keith.
“Listen I am angry,” said Rita, “but that doesn’t dispute that that was one of the best auditions I’ve ever seen.”
Being blocked by Keith, he had to put up a good fight, which he did.
“You need someone that will kill for you, and I did,” he said, referring to the blocking.
But in the end, Chantel went with Guy Sebastian, much to his absolute delight and surprise.
“I was getting no vibe from you! You’re amazing, you’re so great,” Guy told her, giving her a hug.
