Nova’s Michael ‘Wippa’ Wipfli roasted by his fans

After being announced as a contestant on Nine’s upcoming Celebrity Apprentice, Wippa’s fans didn’t hold back.

Nova’s Michael “Wippa” Wipfli has been cast in the upcoming Channel 9 show Celebrity Apprentice Australia next year.

However, his fans and listeners aren’t impressed with the choice, expressing doubt that he would do a good job on the show.

His fans have taken to his social media to roast the radio presenter, and they are absolutely brutal.

“Surely you do Dancing With the Stars first... I feel as though you’ve leap frogged one here,” one commented.

“You were pathetic in the jungle who will you be here?” another said, referring to his time on I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here in 2016.

Another person commented, “If Carole Baskin is considered a celebrity in the USA, then I think you’re bona fide in Oz.”

Wippa’s good mate Hamish Blake even joined in on the ruthless roasting.

“Can’t wait,” he wrote. “You look good in this pic,” referring to the promo photo of Celebrity Apprentice’s chief executive Lord Alan Sugar.

Another follower then joked, “Are you a contestant or is that you as the host?”, to which the radio presenter replied, “what a pity.”

However, there were fans who were excited to see the star on the show.

“Can’t wait to watch you,” one wrote.

“Awesome,” wrote another. “Looking forward to tuning in.”

Meanwhile, fans weren’t the only ones having a go at Wippa this week, with his own wife poking fun at the star’s seven-year wedding anniversary gift.

Gifting his wife Lisa one of the most popular kitchen appliances of 2020, Lisa was unimpressed with the airfryer.

Wippa posted the anticlimactic moment Lisa unveiled her present on Instagram while asking followers for their much-needed support.

“Besides @hamishblakeshotz, can anyone else convince my wife that this is an AMAZING anniversary present! Nothing says I love you like air fried chips,” he captioned the video.

“At this stage @lisawipfli is not impressed!.”

“Happy anniversary,” Wippa could be heard saying before a look of disappointment washes over Lisa’s face.

“Does it have to sit out on the kitchen bench?” was the first thing she asked.

“No, but think about it – maximum taste, minimum fat, effortlessly,” Wippa responded, as he read out the advertising on the box.

“I mean you have been influenced by Hamish Blake that’s for sure,” she said, before hesitantly saying, “I love it, thanks, babe.”

Joining Wippa on Celebrity Apprentice is Michelle Bridges and Ninja Warrior’s Olivia Vivien.

Channel 9’s upfronts presentations this week revealed Celebrity Apprentice Australia would be returning to the airwaves in 2021.
