Her attempt at finding love on reality TV may not have worked out, but this Married At First Sight bride is heading back down the aisle.

Melissa Walsh was paired up with fan favourite John Robertson on the latest season of the show, but the couple split just a couple of months after the finale.

Less than two months later, the journalist, 53, revealed she was dating Fred Whiston.

Taking to Instagram on Wednesday night, Walsh shared a photo of a diamond and gold engagement ring alongside the caption: “When the man you are in love with proposes, you say ‘yes’.”

Walsh and Robertson’s split in March shocked fans, with many expecting the couple to go the distance.

“It has been a very difficult decision and it makes us both very sad to say we have decided to no longer continue as a couple,” they said in a statement at the time.

“We still care deeply for each other as friends and will never forget the incredible times we have had together.”

Opening up about her new romance with Whiston in June, Melissa hinted that he might be “the one”.

“It’s been a very quick connection that’s happened so intensely, and I can’t wait to share my life with him,” she told Woman’s Day.

It comes just weeks after another MAFS alum, Sean Hollands, announced his engagement.

The Queensland-based farmer, 36, proposed to partner Roslyn Buerckner during the Melbourne Cup celebrations. He later posted a video on Instagram of how the big moment unfolded.
