Married At First Sight star Sean Hollands announces engagement
AFTER failing to get his “happily ever after” on Married At First Sight, this popular contestant has finally found love.
MARRIED At First Sight star Sean Hollands has become engaged to his girlfriend after a surprise proposal during the Melbourne Cup celebrations.
The Queensland-based farmer, 36, revealed he was dating Roslyn Buerckner in February this year, gushing back then that he “could marry her tomorrow”.
On Tuesday afternoon, Hollands took to Instagram to share a clip of how the big moment unfolded.
He captioned the sweet video: “So this just happened.”
Later, he posted a photo of a ring nestled inside a large pink flower, along with a caption thanking people for “helping the day come together”.
The newly engaged couple both have two children from previous relationships.
During an interview with A Current Affair earlier this year, the pair appeared completely smitten.
“There’s no need to be on reality TV to find a wife. I think I’ve found one here,” he gushed.
Meanwhile, Roslyn said that she was already a fan of Sean from watching him on TV.
“A lot of my girlfriends adored him on the show and told me I would be absolutely insane not to go on a date with him too,” she said.
Sean’s engagement comes more than 18 months after he first hit our TV screens on the popular dating reality show, where he was paired up with Perth truck driver Susan Rawlings.
Sean and Susan, 39, were one of the most popular couples during the last season of the dating reality show, but eventually decided to part ways, citing the distance between their hometowns as a major factor.
In May, Susan announced the birth of her first child, a boy named Ashton, telling Woman’s Day she found out she was pregnant after splitting with an older man she’d met online.
