MAFS stars lift the lid on huge rumour

Ella Ding and Brent Vitiello have finally revealed exactly what’s been going on, after being sprung together at his Sydney apartment this week.

Brent Vitiello and Ella Ding have finally addressed rumours that they’re now dating after ending their respective Married At First Sight relationships.

The rumour mill went into overdrive in February when the pair was spotted together at Maroubra Beach in Sydney on Valentine’s Day, at a time when Brent was still partnered up with Tamara Djordjevic and Ella with Mitch Eynaud on the show.

Brent and Tamara’s bitter split has since played out on the show, while the finale ended last night with Ella and Mitch apparently still together.

Brent and Ella addressed the persistent speculation about the state of their relationship in an interview with Fitzy and Wippa on Nova on Tuesday morning, making it clear they were just “friends” – for now.

Confirming they hadn’t yet kissed, the pair did however admit they have discussed how they would have been “a better match” on the show.

“We get along, like we’re very similar … we’re both fire signs, we’re both Aries,” Ella told the hosts, before explaining her hesitancy to move forward with Brent.

“I’m gonna be completely honest – I’m still just healing and getting over stuff like with Mitchell and Tamara and just like all the all the crap that’s been going on, you know, in the past few months.

“Like, it still gets to me and I don’t want to rush into anything if I’m not feeling you know, ready for it. And I’m just not ready.”

Ella and her on-screen partner Mitch surprised viewers during this week’s final episodes, when they revealed they’d managed to reconcile after the experiment, despite Mitch refusing to give a firm commitment in the final vows.

During the dinner party and reunion, it appeared they were stronger than ever – but it’s since emerged that the relationship is now over.

When asked about the shock split, Ella confirmed she hadn’t seen Mitch since the reunion aired.

“Did he just go cold turkey and didn’t get in contact with you?” Fitzy asked her.

“No it wasn’t straightaway – he definitely started to drop off though and fizzle out … it was probably about two months ago,” Ella explained.

“Articles hit the media and then yeah, he sort of just cut me off.”

It comes as a new video was released, obtained by Yahoo, showing the reality stars leaving Brent’s Sydney home on Sunday night, on their way to Domenica Calarco’s viewing party.

When the reporter grilled them on rumours they were dating, Brent joked: “Which rumours? Do you mean Mitch and Tamara? That’s all I know.”

Ella then jumped in, pointing to the couple nickname they’ve been given by fans: “Aren’t they saying ‘Team Brella’?”

The pair spoke out about the public affection for them, describing it as “quite nice” and “cute” but stopped short of saying they were dating – instead, describing their situation as “just chilling”.

“We’re just doing a bit of Brella and s**t and that’s it,” Brent said.

They then admitted they were even sharing items of clothing now, with Brent wearing Ella’s bomber jacket.

Meanwhile, a source described as a mutual friend of the pair told Yahoo that there was an “attraction” but they didn’t want “to rush into something”.

“She’s planning on moving to Sydney soon and then they’ll see where they’re both at once the whirlwind of the show has died down and they don’t have to hang out in secret,” the source told the publication.

“They both find the pressure a little overwhelming at the minute, especially as so many viewers are hoping they’ll become a couple.”
