MAFS star Tayla Winter confirms wild sexting rumour
Controversial MAFS star Tayla Winter addressed reports of a very raunchy act involving a fellow contestant during a wild live radio interview.
Married At First Sight star Tayla Winter has confirmed she received a sexually explicit picture from a fellow contestant, following rumours the pair had had an affair.
Tayla - who was paired with Hugo Armstrong on the show - took an unexpected call from Kyle and Jackie O live on air this morning, where the duo asked about reports she’d “hooked up” with MAFS co-star Cam Woods when filming wrapped.
Before she picked up, Jackie O gave some background on the scandal, explaining that the reality TV contestant had “apparently cheated” with Cam.
“Word has it that Cam was at a nightclub, and he FaceTimed Tayla and showed her his penis … and so (TV “wife” Lyndall Grace) apparently got wind of this, and the whole thing is going to come out at the MAFS reunion,” she told Kyle.
When grilled on the story on air, Tayla giggled and confirmed that there was “a little bit of truth” to it.
“Was there something going on? You don’t just ring someone up dry and show them your d**k, do you?” Kyle asked.
“Well, Cam does. Cam certainly does. He’s a loose cannon, he doesn’t really care too much about getting his ‘thing’ out,” Tayla replied.
When Kyle pressed her on whether she’d “returned the favour”, she insisted it was “very one-sided”.
Tayla added that she was likely not “the only person who saw it that night” either.
“He was really drunk, and I was drinking with all of my friends too, and I’m pretty sure it just happened. He said, ‘do you want me to get it out?’ and I said, ‘yeah, I dare you to’.
“I didn’t think he actually would.”
Despite the X-rated exchange, Tayla insisted they’d never actually “hooked up” – and the pair were just “really good friends”.
Tayla’s radio interview came after reports she’d been embroiled in a cheating scandal with Cam, who is still paired with Lyndall on the show.
Tayla, meanwhile, chose to “Leave” the experiment during Sunday night’s commitment ceremony, while her partner Hugo elected “Stay” – meaning they need to stick it out for another week, at least.
The Daily Mail reports that both couples had broken up by the time the reunion episode was filmed last year – at which point, details of the sexually explicit texts had been shared with the group.
“Everyone on set is in shock. This is not the kind of scandal we were expecting from this season. What they did was completely inappropriate. It’s going to be a wild ride when the reunion airs,” a source told the publication.
“Tayla is worried that fans are going to turn on her because Lyndall accuses her of trying to break her and Cam apart, and ultimately is the reason her and Cam don’t end up working out.”
