MAFS star Jessika Power exposes Warnie’s DMs live on air
Jessika Power has revealed the lengths Shane Warne went to try and meet up with her in cringe-worthy detail – before reading out his messages, word-for-word.
Married At First Sight star Jessika Power has revealed she blocked Shane Warne on social media after he persistently slid into her DMs.
Power, who is set to appear in tonight’s premiere of Big Brother VIP, read the messages she had received from the former cricket star, 52, on air during an interview with Nova’s Fitzy and Wippa this morning.
“The second I got out of the Big Brother house, I blocked him,” she admitted to the radio hosts. “I was scared, because like, you know when you’re at a pub and you’re talking with your mates. this is what I did on Big Brother, I forgot I was being filmed constantly.”
Power, 30, went on to detail their last interactions.
“Here, I’ll read the last message. Here’s the reply I sent to his very forthcoming message: ‘Hey, I’m so sorry I’ve had a really big day and I haven’t been able to reply. I would have loved to have caught up but not in your hotel room … I’m not that kind of girl’,” she said.
“And then he messaged back and said, ‘What are you doing now?’ And it was really late at night, and I was like, ‘this guy just has not got a clue'. So I didn’t reply.”
But that didn’t thwart Warne’s attempts to meet up with the reality TV star.
“Then he messaged me and said, ‘I’m leaving tomorrow for Sydney’, and I didn’t reply, and then he messaged and said, I’m coming back to the coast after this Sydney shoot for 10 days, let’s catch up’ … and I didn’t reply.”
Despite being repeatedly ignored, Warne gave it one more crack, according to Power.
“And then he messaged me again saying, ‘Boo! What’s on for this afternoon?’, I didn’t reply – and the last thing is just me blocking him,” she laughed.
“He just kept trying, and I was like, ‘this guy’s going to get the big block’.”
She added that she’d also been worried he’d contact her, upset about her sharing details of his messages with the public.
“I didn’t want him to also be like, ‘oh my god, why did you tell everyone I wanted to have you in a hotel room?’” Power told the hosts.
Power had first opened up about Warne’s salacious messages to her in early teasers for the new season of Big Brother VIP, telling her fellow castmates: “It was even weirder when I had Shane Warne in my inbox the other week. He’s a freak. Some of the things he was sending me, I was like ‘inappropriate’.”
Among those joining Power on Big Brother VIP is Olympian Caitlyn Jenner, former reality TV star and Trump aide Omarosa Manigault Newman, Thomas Markle Jr., Kyle Sandilands’ ex Imogen Anthony, ex-Home And Away star Bernard Curry, and Survivor’s Luke Toki.
News.com.au has contacted Warne for comment.
Big Brother VIP premieres tonight at 7.30pm on Seven.
