MAFS bride Melissa’s meltdown over ‘betrayal’
The relationship between Melissa and Dino has officially imploded with the MAFS bride discovering her groom had committed the ultimate betrayal.
The relationship between Melissa and Dino has officially imploded after the Married At First Sight bride discovered her groom had committed the ultimate betrayal.
During Wednesday night’s episode Melissa was confronted by Dino, who claimed he had eavesdropped on her complaining about their relationship while on the phone with her sister.
“In that whole conversation, all I heard was bagging Dino,” he told Melissa.
“You’ve literally taken words and put them in another scenario,” Melissa snapped back, refusing to apologise. “That is unfair. I’m having a conversation with my sister about me.”
“I feel a bit betrayed and hurt by him doing that,” Melissa later told producers.

But things got worse the next day when Melissa discovered things had gone a step further and Dino had actually recorded the phone call, along with another conversation between them.
“I wanted to sort of record it and play it back for both of us to actually see where we’re actually going wrong and what we can do to actually go past it. So, that was my intention,” Dino argued.
“You are not seeing what you did! You recorded (me), you have violated my trust, my respect!” Melissa yelled back.
“You’re unbelievable! What you did was sneaky, calculating! I have no trust for you! Like, I feel sick!”
Melissa and Dino’s fight continued at the dinner party, with a furious Melissa demanding he play the recordings in front of everyone.
Watching the drama unfold on their TV screens, the TV experts were in shock over Dino’s actions and believed the couple had no way forward.
“That’s an act of betrayal,” Dr Trisha Stratford said, while Mel Schilling added that their relationship was in the “death rattle” stages.
“I think what we’re seeing here is the end for this couple,” John Aiken said.
Viewers also condemned Dino’s decision to record Melissa, labelling it “weird” and “creepy”.
Poor Melissa. Iâd be emotional and pissed off with Dino too. #MAFS

Dino didnât have to record anything - he simply could have used his words and spoken with Melissa about what heâd heard.

No need to invade privacy with a recording.
âLook I was awake and heard what you said I didnât appreciate it ..â
Itâs as simple as that.#MAFS #MAFSAU
Do people not realise it does not matter what Mel was saying on her PRIVATE PHONE CALL. What matters is that Dino not only eavesdropped, but recorded it as if that was an acceptable thing to do! #mafs

I feel Mel is in the right to be this upset and angry. Her personality is big and loud so itâs why sheâs so vocal tonight but Iâm on her side. Dino just seems weird. #MAFS

If you wanted to record her Dino, you should've told her. That is creepy. #MAFS

Melissa opened up about Dino’s secret recordings earlier this week, telling Perth 96FM’s Paul & Lise she had been “beside myself” when she made the discovery.
“He was secretly recording me, there’s just no excuse for that and it’s creepy AF,” Melissa said.
“The only way I found out about it was when I then caught him at another time trying to record a conversation between us where he was trying to kind of gaslight me into saying different things.”
Married At First Sight continues Sunday 7pm on Channel 9.
