MAFS bride Ines fronts court over drink driving
The 28-year-old has appeared in Queensland court a day after making her controversial debut on Married At First Sight.
Married At First Sight’s Ines Basic has fronted court a day after making her controversial TV debut.
Basic appeared in Cleveland Magistrates Court in Brisbane on Tuesday after being charged with drink driving on Christmas Day last year.
The 28-year-old was charged with being over the mid-range alcohol limit, contravening a police direction and an unrelated offence, The Courier Mail reports.
An Endemol Shine spokesman told news.com.au: “This is a private matter of Ines’s which we understand is currently before the courts and we will not be commenting further.”
Basic will appear in court again on March 5.
Basic has proved to already be one of MAFS’ most memorable brides, with the legal secretary having plenty to say about her new husband Bronson during Monday night’s episode.
“When he smiles, I first wanted to punch him in the jaw. I don’t know why. It was just my instincts,” she told producers.
“I’m getting a very … inbred vibe.”
Basic also took issue with Bronson’s eyebrow ring and his past profession as a male stripper, which she described as “purely disgusting”.
