Ella Ding reveals why she and Mitch Eynaud really got back together after MAFS

After declaring their physical connection was just too strong, MAFS bride Ella Ding has revealed the real reason she and Mitch gave things another go.

In one of the most surprising turnarounds of last night’s MAFS reunion, Mitch Eynaud and Ella Ding have proved the experts may have been onto something after all.

The “horny couple” arrived hand-in-hand after a savage final vows break-up that left Ella heartbroken, with many left wondering how such a 360 could be possible from commitment-phobe Mitch.

While the amorous pair joked that it was their bedroom antics that couldn’t keep them apart, Ella has opened up about what really strengthened their connection as a couple.

The 28-year-old beautician struggled to get a straight answer out of Mitch, 27, during the show, but when the experiment was over, she said he was almost a completely different person.

In an interview for Woman’s Day, Ella explained that they arranged a make-or-break meet-up on the Gold Coast, where Mitch lives, after filming ended.

“Going there was the last chance,” she told the publication.

In a very 2022-twist to their relationship journey, two positive Covid tests during Ella’s stay were instrumental in their growth as a couple.

Ella said Mitch falling ill allowed her caring and silly side soar, which ultimately brought them closer.

“He was pretty unwell, so I was just trying to lighten the mood and make him feel better,” she said.

Viewers were gobsmacked to see Mitch and Ella hand-in-hand at Sunday night’s reunion dinner party after Mitch had brutally ditched Ella last week.

Addressing their reunion, Ella joked: “We had some time to get back to our roots, his roots … root.”

“You’re really playing up that horny bride card, aren’t ya?” Mitch laughed.

Ella went on to say her husband was more at ease to open up once the experiment was over.

“Mitchell and I are together. We are just starting fresh. Nothing could have prepared me for the way Mitchell was after the experiment ended,” she revealed.

Ella was already committed to giving things a go in the outside world at the end of the experiment, with Mitch unable to make an “on-the-spot” decision when it came down to their final vows.

“How can we walk out of here together as partners when at the moment, I don’t see this as a substantial relationship?” he had said.

“What I need now is to go back to my life, to my family, to my friends.

“It’s only then that I’ll be able to make a decision that could affect both of our lives. What I can’t [do], what I can do and what I won’t do.

“To stand here and be forced to make a decision that I’m not yet ready to make. I’m sorry, Ella, but right now I just can’t give you the commitment I know that you want.”

Through tears, a devastated Ella replied: “Wow. Throwing your own little spanner in the works. I’m not surprised. Making no decision.”
