Luke and Josh furious over Kirsty’s pointed cheating song on The Block

Luke and Josh did not enjoy being the butt of the joke as last week’s cheating debacle continues to play out on the tense building site.

The Block cul-de-sac is well and truly divided, with one team reigniting tensions from the ongoing cheating scandal with a cheeky public swipe.

While Tanya and Vito, and Luke and Josh have now received penalties for secretly referring to The Block’s production schedule, the other teams weren’t quite ready to let things go – especially given most weren’t happy with the punishments doled out.

But it was ‘neutral’ country couple Kirsty and Jesse who brought the incident to a head again in Monday night’s ‘Winners are Grinners’ dinner, with musician Kirsty performing a song about cheating as the others squirmed in their seats.

While Tanya and Vito were able to awkwardly laugh it off, twins Luke and Josh stormed off in a huff with their mouths still full of food.

It was still tense on the building site the morning after Sunday night’s room reveal, with Ronnie and Georgia, and Mitch and Mark giving Tanya and Vito the cold shoulder.

“It’s like nothing happened,” Ronnie fumed after bumping into the couple in the morning.

“I can’t talk to them … maybe in the next couple of weeks I’ll warm up but at the moment I can’t,” Mark said.

It comes after host Scott Cam deducted two points each from the teams involved in the circulation of a photo taken of The Block’s top-secret schedule.

Complaining about the continued tensions, Tanya was filmed hurling out new accusations during a private phone call.

“Mitch and Mark have completely turned on us and are not talking to us and it’s so awkward. Mark was so condescending, I was like ‘piss off, you f***ing grumpy old man,’” she said to the unknown person on the line.

“And they’re just liars. They’re fake liars. If they didn’t know, then how come they were pre-ordering and demoing rooms ahead of time for the rooms coming. It’s pretty obvious that they knew,” she claimed.

The teams went on to savage each other’s rooms during the Monday morning walk-through, swapping catty remarks as they picked apart the details.

“It’s a bathroom … with a steam room,” Tanya said as she walked into Mitch and Mark’s spa room which landed them equal second with one perfect 10.

Meanwhile, Luke and Josh remarked that Ronnie and Georgia’s starry ceiling was “like something straight off Pinterest”, while Ronnie ripped into Vito’s painting and Mitch offered a snide observation while inspecting their curtains.

“Doesn’t he have a curtain business? That’s one thing he could get right,” said Mitch.

Going on to slam the boys’ lowest-scoring “bach pad” home theatre, Mitch was just as vicious.

“Tackorama … total tackorama. I’m uncomfortable in here, I’m going to get out,” he said.

Mark described the room as ‘very bachelor pad 1980s’.

But when it came time for Kirsty and Jesse’s ‘Winners are Grinners’ dinner, the country couple had the best response to the saga as Kirsty took to the stage to perform.

“Country music was founded on cheatin’ songs, so I’m gonna do one of those for you tonight,” Kirsty told the group before launching into Hank Williams’ Your Cheatin’ Heart.

“You’ve gotta laugh … if you don’t laugh you cry,” Tanya, who was seen clapping throughout the performance, later told producers.

But the twins were not amused.

“We’ve gotta go finish off the trowelling,” Josh said immediately after the song came to an end, leaping to his feet and bolting from the table.

“F**k that. F***ing not happy about that. I’ve had enough of that. I’m not going back now,” the twins uttered as they left the dinner.

“We weren’t up for those kind of jokes. We’ve been through 48 hours of hell. We weren’t sitting through that sh*t,” Josh told producers.

Speaking to the camera, Luke was fuming.

“I’m not happy about it. I’m serious; I’m really pissed off. I thought it was all over. I’m not copping that from that little Kirsty,” he said.

“Do they want me to spiral? … You’ve got Georgia smiling at me … [Josh] is really upset. I’m not happy about it.”

With the schedule now completely overhauled thanks to the leaked photograph, the teams must complete all their remaining bathrooms in one week, submitting only one, the master ensuite, for judging.
